Cohorted Beauty Box Review - April 2017

I've been waiting patiently for this months beauty box and it's true what they say good things come to those who wait. My beauty box arrived full of goodies that I actually NEED this month - happy days! The box was worth a grand total of £102 so I definitely feel like I got my moneys worth this month.

It seems it's standard that you get some form of eyeshadow palette in each box every month which I'm not complaining about but I'm definitely not getting round to trying them all. Each box either had the Laura Geller Eyeshadow Palette in either 'Sandy Lagoon' or 'Golden Sunset' The palette pictured below is in Golden Sunset. It has three creamy shades that are rich in pigment which are really smooth and easy to apply. The lighter peach colour and the bronzy colour go together a dream and will make an amazing natural glam look. The palette cost £25.00 which some may think is a little steep for an eyeshadow palette containing just 3 shadows but I think it's well worth the money.

Next in my box was a Laura Mercier lipstick which retails at £22.00 and I received this in the colour Audrey. It looks a deeper shade of Red when in the tube but comes out a nice pinkish Red which I think will look really nice with a tan! One to take with me on holidays for sure.

Another Percy & Reed product in this months box, I've not actually used much of the stuff I've received previously but this Eau My Goodness Shine & Fragrance Spray is something I'm quite intrigued to try. It claims to smell of 'a rose in the early morning sprinkled with dew.' However after giving this a spray in the lid and taking a good ol' sniff the only smell I could describe it is a public toilet that's just had a visit from a cleaner. By all means I don't think it smells like public toilets, but the smell of the cleaner products after it has been freshened up. So the aim of this product is to spray it over your hair once you've styled it and it gives it a glossy shine to complete the look. Now for anyone who has hair as dull as mine, a little shine certainly won't do any harm. It's quite expensive retailing at £22.00 for the bottle so hopefully it works miracles.

The Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks are something I was in need of and I was actually looking at buying some eye masks just the other day after my boyfriend kindly pointed out the horrendous bags under my eyes in the most caring way he possibly could of (it really wasn't). I think eye masks are pretty self explanatory but for anyone who doesn't know, they're like an arch/half moon/banana shaped mask that you place under your eyes/above your cheeks to hydrate, reduce wrinkles & soothe the sensitive skin under your eye. These particular eye masks cost £8.00 but you could buy other ones online for cheaper or even a lot more depending on where you shop.

The final thing this month was another Laura Geller product and this was the 'Spackle Tinted Under Make-Up Primer' in the shade Bronze. I had literally just ran out of primer in the last week so this couldn't of come at a more perfect time. The shade is a little dark so I would definitely need to fake tan before using but that's not an issue as I'm quite into my fake tan at the moment. I think a primer can honestly make your foundation look either flawless or horrendous so I really look forward to seeing what effect this has overall.

I am really happy with this months box and genuinely think all these products will get used right up and possibly even repurchased (the eyeshadow palette is so dreamy).

Lots of Love
Jess
